Meet Your Coach
Welcome! I'm Daisie, I am 22 and have been on my fitness journey for almost 5 years. Aside from the obvious gym, my other hobbies include long Summer walks, reading, learning new skills, and making memories with my favourite people. I am a real mixture of 'party girl' and 'soft girl' - I love a night out with the girlies, but I equally love an early night with a film, ready to get up for a 7am gym class. I am all about balance and am in no way restrictive with my goals or lifestyle habits (to an extent). You can absolutely still meet your fitness goals without putting your social life on pause.
I strongly believe exercise holds many benefits beyond health and appearance. You can learn so many skills from training; building resistance, discipline, emotional strength, and confidence are just a few,
My story:
I have always had a slimmer build - partially due to genetics, and partially due to my medical condition. I was diagnosed with type one diabetes at the age of 10, which inevitably meant I lost a lot of weight, and resulted in me having an abnormally fast metabolism. I struggled with body image for many years, after being picked on for being 'too skinny' and underweight.
I experienced a huge life change when I was 17, which led to me starting my fitness journey. Not only did I want to gain weight, but I also wanted to prove to myself that I could do something for me and me only - and stick to it. I wanted to feel as though I could accomplish something and see real progress, without letting my diabetes stop me.
Fast forward to now, almost five years later, I have gone through many different gym 'eras'. I am at a healthy and happy weight and am in no way restricting myself, however, my love for the gym remains, and I am constantly wanting to be and do better - in terms of strength, resilience, and power.
